The damage, estimated at over $100 billion, impacts travel jobs, visitor spending, hotel booking and tax revenues. In states affected by these storms, the travel industry supports over 2 million jobs and generates billions in tax revenue. Last week, U.S. Travel Association hosted our CEO Roundtable at American Airlines’ headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas, gathering two dozen CEOs from some of the largest companies in travel. Our guests—including President George W. Bush, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and former Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas CEO Richard Fisher—sparked insightful discussions on election outcomes, seamless travel and boosting domestic business and international inbound travel. ? Three takeaways stood out: ? #1. Today’s resilience sets the stage for an optimistic future. Despite the noise, leaders remain hopeful. The world is watching, and as industry leaders, we must focus on advancing our priorities and creating new opportunities in all scenarios.? ? #2. Bold, decisive action will define our next chapter. 2025 presents new opportunities for travel. We need an ambitious strategy, a united voice and clear objectives to ensure the industry commands the focus it deserves. ? #3. Adapting to shifting consumer preferences is non-negotiable. The future of travel depends on anticipating change and meeting traveler demands head-on. This means (1) recognizing the unique needs of varied customers; (2) embracing new technology thoughtfully; and (3) creating seamless experiences across platforms. Those who embrace this challenge will lead the way. Our bi-annual CEO Roundtable meetings are critical to building an informed, aligned and engaged industry. Thank you to our hosts, American Airlines, and to all who participated.?

We commend Senator Mike Rounds, Senator Angus King and their bipartisan colleagues for urging the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Labor to release the maximum H-2B visas for FY 2025. ? U.S. Travel will continue to urge for more H-2B visas to address significant workforce shortages. Small, seasonal businesses rely on temporary workers who are critical to maintaining operations and keeping their doors open. Read the letter ???
