Tennis for Sally Goldman is more than a sport—it's a lifelong journey. A player and coach and club owner, Sally bought the Weymouth Club in 1988 with her husband Steve. 38 years and more than 30 renovations later, the facility has evolved its own community, offering a variety of leagues, tournaments and programs with state-of-the-art amenities 🎾🤝 And it's thanks to the skills she's developed on the court that have helped her succeed in business. “Tennis has given me so much. It’s a sport that teaches you resilience, strategy and being tough under pressure. And in business, just like in tennis, you have to constantly be thinking ahead, adjusting, and planning for the future," Sally said. This is a special feature from our CEO Lindsey Keeler, CAE ☺️: https://lnkd.in/eHK9Y2r7 #passion #dedication #WomensHistoryMonth

Congratulations to our esteemed board member, Bud Schultz, on his induction into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Hall of Fame 🎾👏 Bud is a Bates College graduate (’81), where he was an All-American and NCAA singles tournament finalist. He also started three years on the basketball team. Bud had a tremendous seven-year professional career as well. He competed in all four Grand Slams, reached three ATP Tour finals in singles and doubles and climbed to a high ranking of No. 40 in the world in singles 🏆🙌 Following his retirement, Bud worked as the Tennis Director and Head Pro at the prestigious Longwood Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, MA. He also got into coaching, working with the likes of Ivan Lendl and Pam Shriver, and served as the head coach of the Boston Lobsters in the World TeamTennis League. Bud and his wife Elaine currently own and manage the Cohasset Tennis Club in Cohasset, MA. Bud is joined in the Class of 2025 by legendary college coach Bob Hansen, who ended his career in New England at Middlebury College. Bob coached for 41 years, and during his nine-year head coaching stint in Vermont, he led the men’s team to six straight seasons of reaching the NCAA semifinals or better, including winning the 2018 NCAA Championship. Mason Bultje is a former NCAA tennis player, a member of our Board of Directors and the Director of Partnerships and Programs at Sportsmen's Tennis & Enrichment Center. He also works as the assistant coach for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology women’s tennis team and still competes himself in 5.0 leagues and tournaments. Through his experiences and mentors, Mason has become a strong advocate for amplifying the voices of individuals with marginalized identities and believes representation is crucial both on and off the court. "I hope I can inspire others to get involved, and that they will feel their own unique background is both desired and seen as an asset," Mason said. "For much of my upbringing, I felt like an outsider, that I was some random kid who could play at a decent level. But now I feel embraced and that I can help contribute to this industry as a whole. I hope my experiences can help make a difference, even for one person." Read his story here: https://lnkd.in/exAnT9E4 #BlackHistoryMonth
