United States Space Command conducts operations in, from and to space to deter conflict, and, if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint/Combined Force and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners. Commanded by U.S. Space Force Gen. Stephen N. Whiting, USSPACECOM is the warfighting combatant command that actively employs forces from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force to deliver space effects to joint and combined forces and protect and defend the space domain. Space superiority enables the Joint Force to rapidly transition from competition to conflict and prevail in a global, all-domain fight. From the ultimate high ground to the last tactical mile, USSPACECOM ensures there is never a day without space. U.S. Space Command’s Provisional Headquarters is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.     This week partner nations from 24 countries gathered in person and online at Vandenberg Space Force Base for the Global Sentinel 25 Initial Planning Conference. Global Sentinel is U.S. Space Command’s premier security cooperation effort designed to strengthen and grow international partnerships, improve operational collaboration and promote responsible behavior in the space domain.? ? This IPC was in preparation for the GS25 capstone event projected to take place April and May of 2025. Xavier Gaillais as a liaison officer supporting the command’s Strategic Engagements Division, where he provides expertise and strengthens international partnerships. France is a member of the Combined Space Operations Initiative Principals Board, which aims to generate and improve cooperation, coordination, and interoperability opportunities to sustain freedom of action in space, optimize resources, enhance mission assurance and resilience, and deter conflict; and signed a Space Situational Awareness Agreement with the U.S. in 2014, which supports spaceflight planning and enhances the safety, stability, security and sustainability of space operations.     Congratulations to Allen "Al" Johnson, #USSPACECOM’s Wednesday Warrior of the Week. As a senior strategic planner in the Contingency Plans Division, Johnson has organized three Operation Olympic Defender planning conferences and over 30 virtual multinational planning events. These efforts have supported decision-making for senior leaders at USSPACECOM and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Additionally, he is the lead for new integration concepts for U.S. Strategic Command and USSPACECOM, greatly enhancing collaboration between the two commands. Thank you for all you do, Mr. Johnson.
