Please join us as we open for a special day during Fleet Week on Tuesday October 8th. We are joining with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to hold a special event, honoring both Fleet Week and Vietnam War Veterans. Keynote speaker will be Major General Edward J. Chrystal Jr., Director of The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration. (Bio below) Event opens at 11 am, speaker starts at 1 pm and event ends at 4 pm. Free drinks and light appetizers will be served. The Hangar Bay and Flight Deck will be open for exploration. On this day in History, July 16th, 1969, the first manned mission to the moon, Apollo 11 launched ! July 20th, the USS Hornet Museum will be hosting the 55th splashdown anniversary, celebrating the ship's recovery of the Apollo 11 Astronauts with a special event!
