It was a great pleasure gaining invaluable experience with USMLE Research Hub learning the esteemed meta-analysis and its fine details like the different forms of data, and how to identify them in a sample article. We also learned the rules and techniques of topic search, and the relevant data extraction. We learned not just how to interpret analyzed data in the form of forest plots, but to also generate our own based on the analysis run on our extracted data. We also learned how to identify causes of heterogeneity in outcomes and tackle them accordingly via sensitivity or subgroup analyses, and meta-regression. Similarly, we learned how to identify bias and run relevant tests to quantify and visualize them. Lastly, we learned how to bring all of our data manipulation together into an appealing manuscript that serves both the looks and the function. All were taught with great passion and current examples so that the learning process was deeply rooted in us for long-term. I would highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone looking to get their hands on learning meta-analysis and trying to build a network of highly capable individuals. Thank you Dr. Muhammad Muzammil and Dr. Abdullah Akram for expressing great mentorship and imparting this treasure of knowledge upon us! Looking forward to working with you on multiple projects in the future.
