Members of the Gypsum Materials team recently had the opportunity to visit a 300,000 square foot roofing project in the Chicagoland area in Bedford Park, IL. USG worked with the contractor to find a great fit using Securock? Brand Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board for a safer, more efficient and streamlined installation. The team connected with the independent sales representative, contractor, and membrane manufacturer to better understand their needs and ultimately build on the value of Securock Roof Boards. Late last year, USG employees helped naming a new Levelrock? product. Out of over 400 names submitted across USG’s network, Jerry Wonderlich, Quality Manager – Kansas City, was selected as the winner for the newly named “USG Levelrock? Brand 2500 LFD.” This new product is the first of its kind in lightweight solutions, weighing 18% lighter than traditional gypsum underlayments and drying up to 40% faster than previous USG Levelrock? gypsum underlayments. Each of these qualities lead to the inspiration behind Jerry’s submission, “USG Levelrock? Brand LFD,” which stands for Lightweight, Fast-Drying.
