Earlier this week, Casey Munn, President of USG Construction was awarded the Service Member Patriot Award. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures, including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed. Brian Argintean, Master Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, and USGC Project Superintendent, nominated Casey for the Patriot Award for his support as an employer over the years as Brian’s service to his country has taken him around the globe. As a former member of the U.S. Army, Casey understands the challenges of balancing Brian’s dedication to his Family, Country, and Career and is Honored to have Brian as part of the USGC Team. It was an Honor to have Rick and Peggy from ESGR, EMPLOYER SUPPORT OF THE GUARD AND RESERVE, deliver and present this Award. Happy #Juneteenth! On June 19th, we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. On January 1, 1863, President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation to end slavery in the United States. Although this officially did not happen for another two and a half years when Union troops freed enslaved African Americans in Galveston Bay and across Texas, on June 19, 1865, marking this day as #Juneteenth. In celebration of #Juneteenth, our office will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th. Our normal office hours will resume on Thursday, June 20th.

We had a lot of fun in the sun participating in the 2024 AGC Nebraska Builders Association Annual Golf Outing. Our own Brian Argintean was the flag prize winner on hole 3 at the Gray Hawk Course for being closest to the pin with any shot from off the green!
