The Office of National Scholars recently partnered with the Global and National Security Institute (GNSI) to host a multi-panel event spotlighting pathways to careers in national and global security. Students gained firsthand insights from professionals with the CIA, FBI, Department of State, and Department of Homeland Security, along with USF faculty, learning about the demands and impact of careers in security. Inspired by opportunities beyond her coursework, Honors grad Kaylee Eckelman joined the Sarasota Cybersecurity Lab, pivoted her career path, and is now pursuing a master’s in AI & Business Analytics. Led by Dr. Jordan Howell, the lab at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus empowers students from all majors to engage in real-world research, explore cybersecurity solutions, and lead impactful projects.
