Flaming hot take: an "exclusive" onboarding session is not the subscription benefit you think it is. → It is a great practice to offer it to a stuck user. → It is not so great when the user has *never* seen the product for themselves and relies solely on what you teach them. That's a recipe for early churn and a G2 review you wish you could unsee ?? The good thing is that there is an easy cure: A free trial and a good user onboarding flow.     EdTech is one big industry, "but how are Edtech companies educating their users?" we asked. And now, here's the answer: We dived into the user journeys of 5 of our favorite EdTech tools (360Learning, Articulate, Graphy Inc., SafetyCulture, and Synthesia) and what we saw was interesting. You can check out the Miro board below, but here are a few learnings from our sample size of the case study: ?? EdTech platforms are very well-established when it comes to welcome surveys; naturally, they handle personalization very well. ?? They use traditional onboarding elements like product tours, checklists, and hotspots very scarcely, often not as a welcome experience but in specific areas. ?? EdTech platforms send frequent and valuable emails, offering resources, use cases, and usage insights. Now, we worked with a pretty small sample size, but we want to see more EdTech onboarding flows.
