On Friday, our USD students joined our San Diego Advertising, PR and Marketing Torero Trek! ?? Students had an incredible opportunity to visit Red Door Interactive and TEAM LEWIS, gaining valuable insights into the dynamic world of marketing and advertising. This experience not only broadened their understanding of the industry but also inspired them to envision their future careers! A huge thank you to both organizations for their hospitality and for sharing their expertise ??

Last night, students joined us for Launch Your Future! The evening began with an interactive workshop led by Juan Carlos Rivas Espinosa, PhD where students explored and applied the concept of "Ikigai" to their lives. Students then connected with an incredible group of alumni who shared their advice and career journeys over tacos! Thank you to all who joined and to Mission Integration, USD Changemaker HUB, and the USD Alumni Association for collaborating to make this event possible!

Yesterday, the Employer Relations Team at CDEV welcomed our Employer Advisory Board (EAB) members to campus for an engaging discussion on hiring trends, opportunities, and resources to connect with USD talent. Our EAB members, representing 21 organizations, are dedicated professionals who provide invaluable guidance on how we can better support both employers and our students and alumni in their career journeys. We were also honored to have Mya Johnson M.A., USD- Director of Scholar-Athlete Development & Chief Diversity Officer, join us as a guest speaker. She shared valuable insights on USD’s talented student-athletes and the recruiting resources available to employers. A huge thank you to our incredible EAB members for their ongoing dedication to the USD community! Your support makes a lasting impact.

After a successful day of trekking around the San Francisco Bay Area, students and alumni were able to join in an evening of dynamic networking that truly encapsulated the spirit of the Torero community. Thank you to the USD Alumni Relations team and everyone who participated and contributed to this fantastic event! The energy in the room was palpable as students engaged in meaningful conversations, exchanged ideas, and expanded their networks in the heart of the tech and finance worlds. We are incredibly proud of our students for stepping up, asking insightful questions, and demonstrating their eagerness to learn and grow. Today USD students had the privilege of trekking to two world-class companies, NVIDIA and BlackRock, where our students gained invaluable insights into cutting-edge technology and innovation as well as the financial industry. This Torero Trek to the San Francisco Bay Area marked a significant milestone as USD students embarked on our first travel trek post-COVID! The experience was not just about observing the operations of these industry giants, but also about inspiring our students to envision their own futures in such dynamic fields. The interactions with professionals at NVIDIA and BlackRock provided our students with firsthand knowledge and networking opportunities that are crucial as they prepare to step into the professional world. What a great experience for all!
