关于我们
The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent national nonprofit organization responsible for responding to and preventing emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct and abuse in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement. We also serve as an educational resource for sports organizations at all level, from recreational to professional. Founded in 2017 by Congressional mandate, in the wake of highly publicized cases of athlete abuse, our staff is growing rapidly, now numbering over 100 in nearly 30 states. We recruit talented humans in a wide array of fields, from investigations and law to education and training, to audit and compliance, to marketing and communications. Our values of respect, accountability, inclusivity, integrity and wellness underscore all we do, and our passion for our work inspires us daily to build a culture—throughout our team and among athletes and allies everywhere—in which everyone feels safe, supported, and strengthened. If you have experienced abuse or misconduct—or if you have reasonable suspicion of abuse or misconduct inflicted on, or by, someone in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement report here: https://uscenterforsafesport.org/report-a-concern/ To ensure the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s social media channels remain a place that is welcoming and constructive, U.S. Center for SafeSport (Center) administrators reserve the right to moderate comments, including deletion of replies or other content and interactions they deem to be in violation of the Center’s Social Media Community Standards (found below) or in violation of the social media platform’s community standards. Center administrators may also take action to block or report social media platform users for violations. See our full Community Standards here: www.uscenterforsafesport.org/terms-of-use

Parents, guardians, and other adults often feel a responsibility to protect the children in their lives from abuse. There are many aspects to that, like learning about abuse prevention, verifying programs have safeguarding policies, and giving feedback to sports administrators, to name a few. But adults are also responsible for engaging kids in their prevention efforts. By talking with kids about abuse, checking in with them regularly before and after practice, and listening to their fears and experiences, adults can create an environment where kids feel comfortable speaking up and advocating for their own safety. Check out the article ↓ to learn how you can talk to kids about tough but important topics. https://lnkd.in/ecqjNXgF #SafeSport #Parents #Kids #AbusePrevention #USCenterForSafeSport #EndAbuse

To kick off 2025, the Center hosted the State of SafeSport, a virtual forum for athletes. The forum was an opportunity to highlight our progress, challenges, and future plans to continue shifting sport culture. More importantly, it was an opportunity to hear directly from the people we serve. A recording of the event is available on the webpage linked below. Stay tuned for announcements about future athlete forums. https://lnkd.in/e8Y3j7xg #Athlete #Sports #SafeSport #USCenterForSafeSport #EndAbuse
