Dutch Hansen (finalist), Aryan G., Hao Jiang, and Ryan Wang (honorable mentions) have been recognized by the Computing Research Association’s Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award for their contributions to computing research. Their work spans critical areas:? ?Building fair and reliable AI systems ?Developing faster ML models with 97% less memory usage? ?Training robots for complex real-world tasks? ?Creating watermarking techniques to safeguard data privacy These Trojans are pushing boundaries and shaping the future of technology while still being undergrads! Julie Jiang received her Ph.D. in Computer Science in May 2024, and she was supervised by Emilio Ferrara. She was born and raised in China, then she went to college at Tufts University, where she double majored in computer science and mathematics. "From collaborating with everyone at ISI, I learned how to conduct academic research. Now I'm well equipped both technically and scientifically to pursue the career in computer science that I want," she said.? ?
