We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Johnson to United Southern Bank! Jennifer joins us as a Customer Support Specialist in our Electronic Banking and Bookkeeping Department. She is fairly new to Kentucky. She and her husband, Adam, moved here from northern Colorado last year to be closer to their daughter and her family. She has been in banking on and off since the age of 18 when her aunt helped her get a Teller job at the credit union where she worked, and she has loved it ever since! United Southern Bank proudly attended the Christian County Chamber of Commerce Eye Opener Breakfast: 2024 Legislative Update at The Silo. We were honored to hear from distinguished keynote speakers, Ashli Watts, President & CEO of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and Kevin Courtois, Executive Director of Congressional & Public Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

We are excited to shine the spotlight on our Express Video Head Teller, Cynthia Stenke, for our 4th Quarter Employee Spotlight. She started her career with USB as a full-time Teller at the Pembroke Branch in 2018 and quickly learned Customer Service Representative duties before transitioning into the Head Teller role at the Main Office. In 2022, she became the Training Coordinator/HR Generalist. She also filled in as the Interim Branch Manager at Trenton before moving into the Interactive Teller realm. Cynthia stated, "I am very excited to have this opportunity to provide exceptional service to our customers and demonstrate the savvy technology via the two-way video Teller conferencing system as one of the Express Video Tellers." Cynthia recently graduated with her master's degree from Grand Canyon University, an accomplishment that we at USB, her family and Cynthia are all very proud of. She will be looking forward to spending her free time with her wonderful husband, a retired ARMY Veteran and their four beautiful daughters. Congratulations to Brittney Newcom for being awarded the October Caught in the Act of Going Above & Beyond (CIA) Award! Brittney was nominated for stepping up to assist another branch with CSR needs during our transition. She has taken it upon herself to contact customers to update signature cards and arrange them to visit the bank at a time that was convenient for them. She has been a huge source of information, and she has gone out of her way to answer questions and walk her co-workers through finding the answers. She has truly gone above and beyond. She is very dedicated to her job and serving our customers. We are so happy to have her as part of the USB team!

We are thrilled to welcome Marissa Lock to United Southern Bank! Marissa joins us as a Floating Teller based out of our Crofton Branch. She is a California native with an Associate's Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She relocated her family to Crofton in November 2022.
