关于我们
The USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program–Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project connects technical solutions, experts, and proven commercial processes to promote efficient and cost-effective health supply chains worldwide. Our goal is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities to save lives and to create a healthier future for all. The project directly supports five global health areas of importance to the U.S. government: ? The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to help reach the global 90-90-90 HIV/AIDS testing, treatment, and viral load suppression targets ? The U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative to reduce malaria deaths and substantially decrease malaria morbidity, towards the long-term goal of elimination ? USAID’s population and reproductive health program to ensure that key reproductive health commodities are available for safe and reliable family planning ? USAID’s maternal, newborn, and child health program to help prevent child and maternal deaths ? Other public health threats as they emerge, with support for Zika and Ebola at this time Working across Africa, Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean, we operate in some of the world’s most challenging environments to ensure that lifesaving health supplies reach those most in need. The project purchases and delivers health commodities, offers comprehensive technical assistance to strengthen national supply chain systems, and provides global supply chain leadership. Since our launch, we have procured commodities for more than 50 countries, established 30 field offices, and provided technical assistance in supply chain functions in 40 countries.

Empowering healthcare professionals with new trainings and essential tools for #InformationManagement creates a stronger information environment, which in turn supports better patient care. NetSIGL, the electronic Logistics Management Information System (eLMIS) in #BurkinaFaso, is helping the Burkinabe government and its partners collect, organize, analyze, and communicate accurate product information on health commodities. This enables informed decision-making that impacts product availability and customer service. At GHSC-PSM, we work with countries to ensure that everyone, no matter where they live, has access to life-saving health commodities. In remote communities, accessing vital healthcare like viral load testing can be a struggle for people living with HIV. In our latest episode of In Their Own Words, two courageous women share how an innovative solution—motorcycle riders delivering specimens and results—has transformed their lives. Thanks to USAID and the Government of #Nigeria, this method of optimizing laboratory networks has brought hope and made viral load testing more accessible. Not only that, you'll find that the riders themselves are heroes in helmets! We'd love to hear your thoughts on this. How can we continue to ensure that people living with HIV have access to care and treatment? #HealthForAll #HIVCare #HealthSupplyChains #StoriesOfChange

Overcrowded ART clinics in #Nigeria impacted patient care and #health systems. With multi-month dispensing (MMD) of antiretrovirals, the National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NASCP), GHSC-PSM, and other partners streamlined treatment access, reducing clinic visits and ensuring uninterrupted ARV supplies. Patients like 73-year-old Nwangbo now receive 3–6 months of medications, improving health outcomes and economic stability. This patient-centered approach supports viral suppression and eases the strain on healthcare providers. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eGmi_Vhn?

?? We are proud to share that on November 6th, 2024, the Lesotho Ministry of Health (MoH), in partnership with the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) team in #Lesotho conducted the National Supply Chain Assessment (NSCA) Dissemination Exercise in Maseru. ?The NSCA is a tool that assesses the capability and performance of #health #SupplyChains at all levels. It helps identify bottlenecks and performance gaps, monitors the impact of specific improvement activities and/or investments, and analyzes?a supply chain's ability to absorb shocks and interruptions. The dissemination showed that Lesotho’s supply chain has strong central-level capabilities, especially in warehousing, storage, and distribution, and consistent performance by the National Drug Service Organisation in stock availability and on-time delivery. ?However, challenges in Lesotho's public health supply chain remain, with a need to professionalize the workforce and strengthen the MoH’s human resources for effective system operation. Since 2016, through USAID, GHSC-PSM has supported the MoH by providing technical assistance to improve supply chain management for Lesotho resulting in reporting rates improving to 100% for donor-procured products and stockout rate dropping to 5%. Check out the NSCA report to learn more: https://lnkd.in/eENPSHAr
