Whitewater paddling is an exciting activity, but it requires proper training so you will know what to expect. Play it safe and wear protective equipment including a life jacket, helmet, and appropriate footwear and clothing to keep you dry. #PleaseWearIt

Today we celebrate Mexican Independence Day and the start of our observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month (NHHM). NHHM commemorates the many achievements and cultures of Hispanic Americans. Celebrated from September 15th through October 15th, it is the only Department of Defense special observance to span multiple months, coinciding with Independence Day celebrations for several Latin American countries. During this time of year, the Department of Defense (DoD) honors the Hispanic Americans who have sacrificed for, contributed to, and served our great nation.
