We want to honor all Veterans for their dedicated service to our country every day. Today, we especially recognize two of our architectural designers, Mack Cyran and Shannon Perez. Shannon’s husband, Captain Ryan Perez, is active duty in the Army. He is a professor of Military Science for the ROTC program at Rutgers University. Mack serves in the Marine Corps Forces Reserve. He recently returned from active duty, deploying to Guantanamo Bay for much of 2024 and earning a promotion to Corporal. Shannon is a recipient of the Artillery Order of Molly Pitcher award, and Ryan received the Bronze Star for his service during his 2017 Iraq deployment. Mack will be awarded the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal for his recent deployment. This week was the grand opening of the new 9,550-square-foot addition for Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Edison Township! The project features a new gymnasium, a storage room, and a connecting corridor. Showcasing the school’s vibrant teal and black colors, the design embodies the spirit of the Woodrow Wilson Warriors. Last Friday, we had the privilege of joining the Kent Place School community in Summit to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of their brand-new Swing Grove! This inspiring project began with a letter from a group of determined second graders and blossomed into an engaging play space for the entire school to enjoy. The Swing Grove marks the first phase of a comprehensive landscape master plan for the Kent Place Primary School. Crafted from Robinia (Black Locust) wood, the swing structures reflect the school's commitment to using natural, warm materials that harmonize with the environment. The design was meant to not only maximize the amount of play structures but feature play elements that foster collaborative play. The students were overjoyed with the outcome, eagerly running to play with their friends on the new playground as soon as the ribbon was cut. Everyone was all smiles on Thursday morning as South Hunterdon Regional Superintendent Anthony Suozzo, along with school faculty, board members, and the local community, unveiled the newly renovated South Hunterdon Regional Elementary School. USA Architects is proud to have designed biophilic learning spaces that will welcome students as they walk through these doors in the upcoming school year. The renovation of the existing building now includes modern classrooms equipped with 21st-century technology and a multi-sensory room as well as an addition featuring a new main entrance, an administrative office, a media center, and toilet rooms. "Within these walls, students will be nurtured to explore new ideas, discover their passions, and develop the skills they need to navigate the world with confidence and compassion," said Superintendent Suozzo. We could not be more thrilled to have completed another incredible and impactful project with our friends at Scozzari.
