The mission of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) U.S. Transportation Command exists as a combatant command to project and sustain combat power at a time and place of the Nation’s choosing. As the single manager of America’s global defense transportation system, we are tasked with the coordination of people and transportation assets to allow our country to project and sustain forces, whenever, wherever, and for as long as they are needed. We are a diverse, joint, total force of over 140,000 Active, Reserve and Nation Guard Soldier, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and DoD civilians working together with our commercial partners, to move the right capabilities to the right place at the right time … every time.     ????At Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, Airmen from the 25th Aerial Port Squadron teamed up with the 312th Airlift Squadron to load cargo onto a C-5 Super Galaxy as part of a combat readiness exercise. Additionally, members of the 908th Aeromedical Evacuation and Aeromedical Staging Squadrons collaborated with the 931st Air Refueling Wing, transferring patients from a KC-46A Pegasus provided to enhance the training scenario. These exercises highlight the readiness and capacity of our Airmen to operate in demanding conditions and ensure they are prepared for future missions.     History in the making! History was made this week when a AMERICAN ROLL-ON ROLL-OFF CARRIER, LLC vessel pulled into the port of Setubal last week carrying pieces of equipment assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division. Soldiers and civilians from the 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, the 598th Transportation Brigade, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), the U.S. Mission to Portugal, and the Portuguese military and port authority, ensured the mission was successful. #TogetherWeDeliver #UnitedWeSail
