Today we revealed a new F50 livery influenced by an iconic American symbol, the Statue of Liberty, showcasing the team’s commitment to inspiring a new generation of American dreamers and athletes. This announcement comes alongside the signing of Hans Henken who recently won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Team USA’s first sailing Olympic medal-winning performance since Rio in 2016. As part of the updated livery, our F50 now features the ‘Liberty Marine’ colorway with our partners prominently displayed including T-Mobile For Business, Tommy Hilfiger, Apex Group Ltd, and Red Bull. The livery draws inspiration from the imagery and color scheme of the Statue of Liberty, offering a fresh and adapted look for a team representing the United States. Our CEO, Co-Owner, and athlete, Mike Buckley, recently spoke to Kimball Livingston with The New York Times to discuss how the US SailGP Team is gearing up for the 2024-2025 SailGP season. “There are no 'aha' moments. We can do everything we need to do on the boat. Now it’s about getting a fraction of a second better at every little thing," Buckley said after a productive pre-season training camp in Bermuda. As Livingston noted, “In SailGP, the boats are identical. The teams make the difference, not the boats, and SailGP is unique in collecting massive streams of data and sharing all of it equally."
