During this cold weather, its great to reflect on the busy summer we had in Warsaw. It started with Minister Rados?aw Sikorski at the US-Poland Business Council (USPBC) and finished by accompanying National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Administrator to meet with President Andrzej Duda.?I traveled to every corner of #Poland (even running across a good chunk of it) to talk about #NuclearEnergy cooperation.?There was no shortage of visitors to help me spread the word, including U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chair Christopher Hanson , Westinghouse Electric Company CEO Patrick Fragman, and Bechtel Corporation COO Craig Albert. Even #TaylorSwift came to bring some #PostiveEnergy.?In Bucharest, I joined U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary and the Atlantic Council to advance hashtag #EnergySecurity during the meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (#PTECC). We also celebrated a lot! Including Independence Day celebrations organized by U.S. Embassy Warsaw and American Chamber of Commerce in Poland. Not to mention: bike to work week, Bastille Day, hashtag #NocMuzeów, and commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. We have a ton of amazing projects here in Poland – some of which I had a chance to talk about during the BNP Paribas film festival in Krakow and OSE Gdansk. Despite everything, we continue to focus on helping our neighbors in #Ukraine – They have done an amazing job sustaining their energy systems despite Russia’s persistent targeting of civilian infrastructure. It is so important for me than helping to coordinate with our Polish counterparts as we prepare to work with Ukraine during this heating season!
