NRC Washington DC Leadership Symposium— This weekend, Vice Adm. Nancy Lacore and Force Master Chief Tracy L. Hunt delivered a powerful message to Navy Reserve leaders: our warfighting readiness is non-negotiable. With 2027 on the horizon, we must act with urgency to prepare for high-end combat. Navy Reserve Centers (NRCs) are more than drill sites—they are the Foundation that support Warfighters. Reserve Sailors play a vital role in achieving the Navy Reserve Strategic Advantage and ensuring the Navy Reserve is Ready on Day One. -NRCs are more than drill sites—they are warfighting platforms. -Reservists bring critical skills that amplify the Navy’s lethality. -Collaboration at all levels is key to achieving the Navy Reserve Strategic Advantage. Vice Adm. Nancy Lacore, Chief of Navy Reserve, visited Hawaii to connect with Sailors and leaders from U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, VR-1 (Hooyah Wayfinders), Naval Air Force Reserve, Fleet Logistics Support Wing, and Navy Reserve Center Pearl Harbor. The visit highlighted how the Navy Reserve delivers combat power where it counts most—the Indo-Pacific, the world’s most strategically vital region. From aircraft readiness at VR-1 to mobilization and training at Pearl Harbor, every stop reinforced a clear message: Our people are the Navy’s strategic advantage. Through continuous training and seamless teamwork with active-duty counterparts, Reserve Sailors sharpen their skills to fight and win—ready to deliver real combat power whenever and wherever the mission demands. In an increasingly contested Indo-Pacific, speed and strength are everything. That’s why the Navy Reserve stands ready to respond—fast, first, and alongside the fleet. Reserve Sailors aren’t weekend warriors—they are an essential part of America’s Warfighting Navy, proving why we are always “Ready on Day One.”

“To ensure an accurate DD-214-1 and the correct entitlements, Reservists preparing to separate should continually review their retirement points, and submit accurate and timely separation or retirement requests at least 60 days before they leave the Navy,” said Rear Adm. Stu Satterwhite, Commander, MyNavy Career Center (MNCC). https://lnkd.in/eewtz2VP
