???#BravoZulu to U.S. Navy Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 who rescued two motorists stranded in a submerged vehicle in a Mississippi swamp in February. After bringing the motorists to dry land, their hospital corpsman assessed everyone involved in the accident for injuries. The teams were recognized for their heroism by the city of Gulfport, where they were presented with life-savior certificates and challenge coins from the city council. #SeaBeesCanDo #NavyMedicine250 “Today was not a testament to something new. It’s something that proves the fighting spirit and willingness to community all sailors have no matter what rank they have or job. We are willing to help and a force for good,” said Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Marcos Ramirez. “It makes you proud people are willing to jump into action and have the physical ability to provide and carrying people out of the swamp and those conditions. Most of us, there is no thought process. You see a situation you can be an assistance for, you know you’re capable and trained. I don’t think there is much thought aside from the task at hand, saving and preserving human life.” Naval Medical Forces Atlantic
