? #NavyMedicine led a team that visited Navajo Technical University in Crownpoint, New Mexico, for Albuquerque #NavyWeek. It was a first for the #USNavy and an amazing opportunity to share our stories with young and gifted students that expressed an interest in serving the nation. We were also humbled to speak with Navajo Veterans and honor their legacy of military service. #ThisIsNavyMedicine #NavyOutreach #NTUSkyHawks

??Happy birthday to Bureau of Medicine an Surgery! #OTD in 1842, Congress passed a U.S. Navy appropriations bill establishing five bureaus—Yards and Docks; Construction, Equipment, and Repair; Provisions and Clothing; Ordnance and Hydrography; and Medicine and Surgery. Today, BUMED is the last of the original #USNavy bureaus. For 182 years, #NavyMedicine has served as the maritime medical force to provide #QualityHealthcare for the readiness of our warfighters. We celebrate all who have contributed to our legacy! #ThisIsNavyMedicine ?? https://lnkd.in/eyq9ej_c
