Can we just thank Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust for a moment?! They came into our office with over 2000 items for our pantry (their goal was 1000 items), raised over $2700 (goal was $1000), made an AMAZING BBQ lunch with all the sides and cookies. PLUS they gave away reusable bags that had some goodies in it and a water bottle to our veterans! THANK YOU CRBT for all your fantastic support!

Join us for our next event this March! ???????? At our most recent gathering, Dustin shared some exciting updates, including tweaks to our flyer and a refined mission statement. These changes were made with intention, highlighting that while our events focus on employment conversations, they go far beyond that. Our mission captures what we’re really about: OUR MISSION is to create a welcoming environment where veterans and their spouses can connect with local businesses, organizations, and professionals. We aim to foster meaningful relationships, enhance career opportunities, and provide access to resources that support personal and professional growth. Whether you’re seeking new employment, aiming to develop your career, or looking to network, we’re here to empower you and build a strong, supportive community for all veterans. We’re excited for you to join us in March and continue building this incredible community. We can’t wait to see you there!

We have been blessed with so many companies volunteering to serve lunch to our Veterans or preparing and serve lunch to our Veterans, but we still have some open dates for this spring and summer. If your company would like to prepare and serve or just serve a lunch to our Veterans reach out to Lexi Coberly at [email protected] We serve only on Thursdays between 11:45am-12:15pm so your time commitment would be here by 11:30am to 1pm.

Join us for February’s event! Our gracious hosts at Big Grove Brewery in Cedar Rapids have offered to also sponsor the next event. We appreciate their continued support and hope to see some new Vterans, employers and supporters.

As we close out 2024 we want to take a moment to thank all our donors, supporters, volunteers and Board of Directors for all they have done! These pictures are just a snippet of our year and we couldn’t have done it without all the support! So THANK YOU for loving on our Veterans this past year! We appreciate it! We wish you a joyful 2025.

Our volunteers work so hard all year round and deserve a break! That’s why we will be CLOSED Dec. 23rd-Jan. 1st. We will reopen for our normal schedule (including lunch) on Thursday, Jan. 2nd.

WOW!!! Today we were BLOWN away by the food drive that came in today from Collins Aerospace! When they said truck load they weren’t missing around with just any truck. Also a huge thanks to St. Mark’s church for bringing us warm weather gear to our Veterans! And last but not least, we got a LOT donated via our Amazon wishlist!! Thank you all so much for supporting the Veterans we serve!
