?? The Future of Work and Innovation Starts Here ?? In 2021, the Heartland Robotics Cluster (HRC) was founded with a bold mission: to ignite innovation, robotics, and STEM in America’s heartland. Backed by $25 million from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, Nebraska’s seven participants, including the iHUB, have been hard at work transforming that vision into reality. It’s time to rethink what drives our economy and our future. Nebraska’s top GDP producers—manufacturing and agriculture—don’t just sustain us; they innovate. Manufacturing alone contributes 12% of Nebraska’s GDP and supports 100,000 workers. Yet, for too long, trades and skilled work have been undervalued. The tide is turning. The world is embracing the critical importance of skills, adaptability, and innovative problem-solving—qualities that come from both hands-on experience and education. Short term stackable credentials are valued now more than ever. Let’s challenge outdated perceptions and forge a new path forward. The future belongs to those who innovate, whether they’re building precision robotics or feeding the world. If you want to join the mission and learn how to help, join us at the HRC Automation and Robotics Conference this Friday, 11/22, in Lincoln, NE. Together, we can shape the future. #Robotics #STEM #Innovation #Manufacturing #Nebraska #HRC https://lnkd.in/g8eH7Hn9

Check out the latest story from Ashley Portero from the South Florida Business Journal featuring data from our gap analysis (released earlier this year) and insights from our director Terri-Ann Brown. Miami Tech Works is an initiative from the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge.
Businesses searching for technology employees in South Florida often have the same complaint: There isn’t enough high-quality talent in the region to fill those jobs. Not everyone agrees with that assessment. While local colleges and universities are graduating students with technology degrees, many struggle to land jobs in the tri-county area. Instead, companies often import talent or hire remote workers for those positions, according to a report from Miami Tech Works, a nonprofit initiative powered by a $10 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge. But it’s reductive to argue that the problem only lies with local workers and graduates, said Miami Tech Works Director Terri-Ann Brown. Get the full story:
