Spring is a good time to check your vessel’s safety gear. Make sure you have enough life jackets that fit everyone who will be riding on your vessel and more importantly make sure everyone wears a life jacket. #LifeJacketsWornNobodyMourns

Did you know that many of our projects manage bird boxes for migratory birds? We will get tree swallows, house wrens, and bluebirds who use these boxes the most, but sites have seen chickadees, mice, and even a flying squirrel. As a reminder to please not place your hands inside the bird box or disturb any birds in or around the bird boxes. Photos from North Hartland Dam, VT

It appears we have a 'dam' problem... East Brimfield Lake park guests and rangers have discovered two beaver dams along the river trail that may make passage difficult. Currently, our Rangers are looking into solutions. In the meantime, please do not harm or move any of the beavers and their 'dams' while we determine a solution. Please feel free to reach out to East Brimfield Park Rangers with any questions or concerns.
