Thank you to Thomas Tisdale Megan Joyner, CCWP Kimberly Kline Sam Smith, and the entire Magnit team for hosting a very successful Magnit East Coast Supplier Summit in New Jersey this past week. Ursus, Inc. was honored to attend as a 2024 Magnit Supplier Impact player and be part of the engaging discussions at the event. Great panel discussion around qualities of top supplier partners-no surprise there…it’s all about engagement, knowing your client and being a true partner. Continued trends around clients de-risking and finding more ways to creatively partner with our MSP partners to provide solutions in the SOW space. The roundtables are always interactive and I love to hear insights from my industry peers. We’ve seen an uptick this past year in supplier optimization and consolidation of the supply base. It is important to understand the key drivers and what the program is trying to solve for. While there is optimization of suppliers out, it also opens doors and opportunities for optimization in and fresh eyes on a program. Tiering vs Category/Vertical specialization alignment? We all had a strong opinion here…can you guess? Ultimately we agreed that all programs are structured differently and need an agile and flexible supply base in order to be successful.
