A New Dawn The end of the year is a reminder to pause and reflect, the beginning of a new year is a reminder of new opportunities and a new dawn to thrive, strategize, and grow. In a world facing unprecedented challenges, we recognize the strife affecting humanity and our planet. The pressures of conflict, inequality, and environmental degradation are intertwined, causing pain, injustice, intolerance, ecological catastrophes, and suffering. Amidst this all, URI acknowledges the efforts of over 1,100 Cooperation Circle Partners who for over 25 years have diligently committed their efforts to address the rising needs in their communities and, in turn, contribute to the global call for peace, justice, and healing. Dear friend, this journey to end religiously motivated violence, interfaith cooperation, and collective healing is stronger, more resilient, and possible with each one of you, with the cooperation circles taking URI deep to the grassroots, with the financial support through donations help us do what we do, the human resource doing the work, with each one of us sharing the goodness and impact of URI beyond borders. Join us, and together, we soar through the new year with the light in each of us, with the possibilities of making our communities and the world a better place, and the hope for a more peaceful and just world. As we end 2024 and welcome the New Year 2025, we thank you for being part of the URI network and for your contribution as a cooperation circle, individual member, donor, leader, staff, and friend. May the new year bring us closer in our shared humanity and inspire collective healing in our communities. Wishing you peace, hope, and harmony in the year ahead.

URI Receives the 2024 Hofstra's Guru Nanak Interfaith Prize! United Religions Initiative (URI), founded by The Rt. Rev. William E. Swing, and the Oxford Interfaith Forum, founded and directed by Dr. Thea Gomelauri, have been awarded the 2024 Guru Nanak Interfaith Prize, awarded by Hofstra University in collaboration with the Sardarni Kuljit Kaur Bindra Charitable Foundation. The Guru Nanak Interfaith Prize is bestowed biannually upon an individual or organization for their significant work in promoting interfaith understanding. Hofstra University’s Guru Nanak Interfaith Prize was established in 2006 by Sardar Ishar Singh Bindra and family and named for the founder of the Sikh religion.
