What does celebrating women "Inpower with Flowers" look like? We were honored to be a part of The Female Quotient Lounge at #SXSW this weekend to celebrate International Women's Day. Over the two days, we gave thousands of women their flowers and heard from incredible voices, amplifying women's impact and redefining representation. Our CEO Meenakshi Lala was one of those voices sharing the stage with Jennifer Risi, Katie Babineau and Lauren J. as they discussed how brands can authentically show up for women on International Women's Day and every day. Special thanks to Shelley Zalis and the entire Female Quotient team for their leadership and commitment to transformative change! Link in the comments to watch the full panel.

At UrbanStems we have long known the charm and allure of the tulip, so we were thrilled to be included in Aimee O.'s piece for the The New York Times on its rising popularity for Valentine's Day. Our CEO Meenakshi Lala spoke to Aimee about the increase in demand for this transformational stem and its appeal as Valentine's Day becomes a more inclusive holiday celebrating all types of love. At UrbanStems, we believe flower delivery is about more than just flowers—it’s about reinventing the experience. From our in-house designs to our exceptional delivery and game-changing partnerships, we’re on a mission to make floral gifting unforgettable. This Valentine’s Day, we had the pleasure of collaborating with several incredible brands to bring our Find Your Passion campaign to life, but the most unexpected and possibly the most electric was teaming up with Ravens star wide-receiver Zay Flowers. Zay brings energy, enthusiasm, and passion to everything he does, and this collaboration was no different. Having him join us as our Chief Flowers Officer and launch The Zay Bouquet was an absolute privilege. Safe to say, we’re all officially part of the Ravens Flock now. ?????? Thank you PRWeek for featuring UrbanStems as a "brand that is feeling the love" this Valentine's Day alongside iconic brands such as Whataburger, OkCupid, La Colombe Coffee Workshop, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Cheez-It and more. On February 14, 2014 our bike couriers hit the streets of D.C. for the first time, weaving through the city to deliver love on two wheels. From day one, they’ve been the heartbeat of our brand. This Valentine’s season, we’re thrilled that Daniel Varghese captured the magic behind our one-of-a-kind delivery team in the newsletter Leg Day (link in comments). Riding along with one of our incredible couriers, Daniel experienced both the challenges and the joy of delivering bouquets in the heart of Manhattan. As he put it, “Their commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction sets them apart in the flower delivery industry.” We’re incredibly proud of our couriers and the work they do every day—delivering flowers with speed, care, and a whole lot of heart. This week, as they navigate the streets with bundles of love in rain, snow, or shine, we hope you'll wish them a Happy Valentine's Day. They’ve earned it. ????♂???

As our team gears up for one of the busiest weeks in the floral industry, we’re taking a moment to celebrate this recognition from NYT Wirecutter. Their incredible team of editors understands and appreciates the challenges of our industry, making this praise even more meaningful. Day in and day out, we’ve worked to elevate our designs, streamline our supply chain, and perfect our fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive chic, New York-designed arrangements crafted from premium stems, exactly as seen online, with fast, stress-free delivery. We’re grateful that NYT Wirecutter recognizes the difference, and we know our loyal customers, who we’re excited to serve this Valentine’s Day do too. “We found that the bouquets delivered all over the country looked remarkably similar to one another. And unlike those of many services, the flowers actually mirror their online photos and aren’t teased out with cheap filler.” The full article is linked in the comments.
