Urbanize Finance

Urbanize Finance is dedicated to closing historic, persistent racial disparity gaps in financial literacy and wealth. Our mission is accomplished by, simultaneously, promoting finance industry inclusion, conducting financial literacy workshops, and facilitating project-based financial analysis (at the intermediate and high school level) through an unrelenting combination of education, awareness, and exceptionally strong advocacy, relying on traditional and non-traditional mediums of execution. Creation of a standardized “Fī.Q” Test is a long-term objective of our mission at Urbanize Finance. Presently, Urbanize Finance--in partnership with Learn Deep and UWM--is working on developing a framework for project-based learning at the middle and high school level that incorporates fundamental financial analysis, an important component of all decision-making. The upshot, among many others, is a student pipeline that is sufficiently prepared (through analytical deliberation and problem-solving) for (1) the rigors of college; (2) the jobs of the future (private and public); and (3) to tackle the real-world challenges of tomorrow. It is the first of many efforts to coagulate a project-based learning ecosystem.
