During this season of giving thanks, we would like to express our gratitude to our founder & CEO, Eric Lovett-Maerz. Twelve years ago, he had a vision of how to help homeless youth, and through hard work and perseverance, he has turned that vision into reality and helped save more lives than we ever could have imagined ?? Of course, none of this would be possible without all of our amazing and dedicated team, as well as all of YOU who have supported us over the years. We are so grateful to everyone who has been a part of our story so far; we look forward to the future and saving many more lives! #urbanstreetangels #endyouthhomelessness #sandiegononprofit
关于我们
Founded in 2012, Urban Street Angels is a San Diego native 501(c)3 attentive to supporting homeless youth through supportive housing, peer support, mentorship, mental health counseling, and job training initiatives, in order to develop a more employable workforce and cultivate personal responsibility. We believe building the lives of any young person requires tremendous care and support—therefore it’s through that care and support we plan to rebuild the bonds of trust and individual confidence necessary to help steward our youth toward a life of stability, away from the streets.

Right now, there are over 1,500 young people trying to break the cycle of homelessness in San Diego alone. Hungry, cold, shelterless, and unsure, how would you persevere? Using supportive resources and essential job and skills training, we know our youth can. Urban Street Angels has made it our mission to serve this under-supported group, and in doing so, make meaningful progress toward ending homelessness in San Diego and beyond. This November, join us in honoring #NationalHomelessYouthAwarenessMonth by offering a helping hand. ?? Over 40% of the homeless youth in the United States are sleeping outside, in a car, or some place not meant for human habitation. This #NationalHomelessYouthAwarenessMonth, we’re reminded of the urgent need for safe spaces and resources for vulnerable youth in our community. Every young person deserves stability, safety, and hope for a brighter future. Please make a donation to help support our programs to help the homeless youth in San Diego: https://buff.ly/2GRRQaK

There are some things in life we often take for granted that many of our youth have never been able to experience, such as going to the beach or going to a sporting event…or even as simple as going out to eat. That is why these youth outings mean so much to both them and us. It is a chance for them to see themselves in a different light and see the joy that life can bring! And it’s so heartwarming for us to see them happy & thriving while getting to experience new things ???????? #urbanstreetangels #endyouthhomelessness #sandiegononprofit
