We are excited to share that Urban Seeds Grow, our initiative at Al-Munir LLC, will be applying for the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) FEED grant! This opportunity aligns perfectly with our mission to transform urban farms into thriving hubs of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. Our plan is to leverage the FEED grant to: 1?? Expand commercial produce production on our farms, ensuring a steady supply of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables. 2?? Develop food processing facilities to support small food entrepreneurs, enabling them to turn raw produce into market-ready goods. 3?? Create value-added products, fostering economic opportunities while reducing food waste. By integrating these elements, we envision our urban farms becoming not just sources of healthy food, but economic engines that empower our community with jobs, resources, and skills.
