This hits us on so many levels. We have many #nonprofit clients that are affected by this administration's policy decisions. This one is not only a #femalefounder, this is a #startup #legal team that represents #unaccompanied minors. It upsets me that 90 children all over #Ohio has no representation, alone in a foreign country. Cindy Gallop last week, we were chatting about support female philanthropists and you mentioned that it's directly funding the female founders themselves that will be "doubly effective". My law firm is a sub-contractor on the federal contract referenced in the article below. Among other things, our small but mighty team represent around 90-children all over Ohio at no cost to them or their families in their immigration proceedings. These are among the most vulnerable children; they entered the U.S. unaccompanied, meaning without either parent. They come from all over the world. Our clients range in age from 3 to 19 (we began the representation before they were 18). For every day that we are without funding for this critical work, I will post an example of the harm that the stop-work order is causing.
