?? Thank You, ULI Northwest Members! ?? A big thank you to everyone who joined us last week in Seattle for the 2025 Emerging Trends in Real Estate? event! It was incredible to see such a diverse group of professionals come together to share insights and tackle some big questions shaping our industry. We did something a little different this year and polled our audience for their thoughts on the current and future state of the real estate market. (Check out the questions and your answers in the photos.) The feedback we received during the discussions was eye-opening and suggested something encouraging: the real estate market might not be as bad as we thought it was. Thank you again for your thoughtful participation and for helping us navigate the future of our industry. Here’s to a strong year ahead! ??? Portland, Oregon is a city of bold innovation—right-sized, resilient, and forward-thinking. Attending ULI Northwest's ELEVATE event a couple weeks ago was a showcase of the dynamic projects shaping Portland’s future. To highlight just a few from the inspiring all day session: ?? Albina Vision | JT Flowers This vision and story is and always has been about personal histories for many Albina Vision Trust folks doing the work.? If you have not seen one of its leaders talk about the project make sure you catch their next presentation or community or council meeting because these are the visionaries who are creating the backdrop for a thriving future for greater Albina. ?? Made in Old Town | Noel Kinder & Matthew Claudel At the intersection of Portland’s rich manufacturing legacy and its maker culture, this project reimagines eight historic buildings in Old Town as a shared shoe apparel cluster (a market where Portland leads in the US) resource with a focus on 3D printing and shoe sampling—but is also (BOTH / AND) thinking about integrating housing solutions in the same area. ?? Building Communities Through Sport | Jim Etzel, AJ Z. & Heather Davis With WNBA coming to town and expanded concert events at Timbers Stadium, Portland’s sports infrastructure needs evolving. Did you know some parts of the Timbers Stadium are nearly 100 years old? This history makes it incredibly special—but also complex to modernize especially in the face of climate change. And it’s more than just sports—the Moda Center has aligned with Albina Vision Trust, showing how partnerships are the backbone of sustainable urban growth. Portland is rolling up its sleeves and getting to work. Being a Portlander—for me, eleven years in and counting—is fundamentally about innovation, problem solving and forming partnerships to make the biggest of things happen. #ULIElevate #PortlandInnovation #PossibleFutures
