In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we share our official land acknowledgment against the backdrop of the beautiful buffalo mural at our South Platte Crossing property in Commerce City, CO. This mural, created by artist Jolt and the @guerillagarden, symbolizes the enduring spirit of the land and its original stewards. Land Acknowledgment: We recognize that the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, and other Indigenous peoples. We honor their enduring connection to this land and commit to fostering respect and understanding of their histories and cultures.

Last week, ULC joined Archway Communities to celebrate the grand opening of 154 affordable apartments at the Mosaic Community Campus in South Park Hill – homes providing critical housing to families in Denver earning $27,000 to $78,000 a year. The buildings are owned by Archway and held in Urban Land Conservancy’s community land trust, which ensures permanent affordability and that the land will always be used for community benefit.?Read about Mosaic & more in our latest newsletter, and subscribe!

We recently celebrated ten years of joy, resilience, and transformation at Thriftway Pocket Park on Morrison Road! Once an abandoned supermarket, it is now a thriving and functional community space featuring a futsal court, playground, and gardens; this park is a testament to the power of community action.????? ? With local vendors, Nerf games, a deejay, and support from the Westwood Community Action Team, the event was a great way to bring neighbors together to celebrate a space that’s unique to Westwood. ???????? ? ULC is also deeply connected to the Re:Vision (Denver, CO) campus on Morrison Road, and we’re excited to continue growing and partnering with this amazing community! ??????

We are always in awe of our friends and partners at Re:Vision (Denver, CO). Their new video showcases the caring relationships they've cultivated with the Westwood community.
At Re:Vision, we are continuously working to transform our community, historically impacted by social inequities, into a thriving and resilient community while preserving and celebrating our Latinx cultural identity. We provide our neighborhood with many resources aiding community self-sufficiency, such as our urban agriculture model, hiring and training community members to lead food-based programs, youth education opportunities, and nurturing local small businesses. Thank you Behind The Apron Media for this video showcasing our mission and resources!
