关于我们
The Center for Health + Technology (CHeT) is a research organization within the University of Rochester Medical Center that designs and conducts multi-center clinical research studies and uses technology to make unprecedented advances. Over the past generation, CHeT has re-shaped the conduct of clinical research and advanced knowledge to improve health for thousands, if not millions, of individuals. CHeT is leading the field in evaluating how to harness the tools and technologies of the early 21st century to extend the reach and impact of research and clinical care. CHeT is made up of 5 units including: - Clinical Trials Coordination Center: conducts worldwide, high quality, regulatory compliant multi-center clinical research studies with over 30 years of experience. - Clinical Materials Services Unit: offers comprehensive clinical trial supply services including package and label design and production, assembly of patient kits, national and international distribution, secure storage with robust environmental controls, and tracking and destruction of returned products. - CHeT Innovation: develops and validates technologies - including smartphone applications and wearable sensors - that can sensitively, frequently, and objectively assess disease in real-world settings. - CHeT Analytics: employs AI-based models to predict disease progression patterns for individual patients. - CHeT Outcomes: develops disease-specific patient reported outcome measures for neurological and non-neurological diseases.

It’s Brain Awareness Week and we’re spreading information about brain health and neurodegenerative diseases, which occur when nerve cells in the brain or peripheral nervous system lose function and ultimately die. NDs affect millions of people worldwide and there are no known cures for them. The Cures Collective works to unify the neurodegenerative disease field, accelerate finding treatments and cures, increase and improve access to care through intentional collaboration, and sustain public awareness and mobilization. Patients involved in clinical trials often await pivotal discoveries to treat and expand understanding of their disease, but are we truly capturing their experience? Patient reported outcomes (PROs) are vital for understanding therapeutic impact in a way that is both specific and sensitive to change. However, poorly designed PROs can burden patients and skew results. At the University of Rochester Center for Health and Technology, we prioritize patient-centered design and use an iterative approach to ensure our PROs are relevant, highly sensitive, and generate reliable data. In the end, this leads to more meaningful trial outcomes and lower patient burden. #PROs #DiseaseBurden #ClinicalTrials #HealthIndexes View CHeT PROs:?https://lnkd.in/gwNrFaJz
