This expansion strengthens our ongoing mission of supporting military families with access to quality childcare whenever they need it. As Lt. Gen. David Wilson, Deputy Chief of Staff of G-9, said during the signing ceremony at Hall of Heroes: "By working together, we not only increase access to affordable, high-quality care, but also strengthen the bonds between our military installations and the communities that support us." The Care Gap #InternationalDayofCare Dinner in Los Angeles was beyond amazing—I’m still on cloud nine! ?? One of the recurring themes of the evening was how deeply exhausted so many of us—women leaders fighting for care—truly are. Yet, gathering for a beautiful meal, surrounded by others who share this journey, was incredibly rejuvenating. There’s something so powerful about being in a room filled with those who just get it. Having care innovators and leaders like Eve Rodsky, NYT Bestselling Author of Fair Play, Jessica Chang of Upwards, Joy Burkhard, Joan Nguyen of Bumo (On-Demand Child Care), Mary Beth Ferrante, PCC of WRK/360, Claire Wasserman of Ladies Get Paid, Chiamaka Ihuoma Chine, MPH, PMP, Brooke Markevicius Itoro Ugorji Heather Carter Jennifer Saxton Nikki Adamson of Hustle Hunters Simona G. and many others made the evening both inspiring and grounding.
