The Care Gap #InternationalDayofCare Dinner in Los Angeles was beyond amazing—I’m still on cloud nine! ?? One of the recurring themes of the evening was how deeply exhausted so many of us—women leaders fighting for care—truly are. Yet, gathering for a beautiful meal, surrounded by others who share this journey, was incredibly rejuvenating. There’s something so powerful about being in a room filled with those who just get it.
Having care innovators and leaders like Eve Rodsky, NYT Bestselling Author of Fair Play, Jessica Chang of Upwards, Joy Burkhard, Joan Nguyen of Bumo (On-Demand Child Care), Mary Beth Ferrante, PCC of WRK/360, Claire Wasserman of Ladies Get Paid, Chiamaka Ihuoma Chine, MPH, PMP, Brooke Markevicius Itoro Ugorji Heather Carter Jennifer Saxton Nikki Adamson of Hustle Hunters Simona G. and many others made the evening both inspiring and grounding. We shared stories, exchanged insights, and just took a moment to breathe—to celebrate what we’ve accomplished and to recharge for the work still ahead.
The atmosphere was charged with energy, laughter, and the unmistakable sense of solidarity. It was a reminder that even when the journey feels heavy, we are not alone. Here’s to more moments like these, and to the incredible community of care warriors who are changing the world, one conversation at a time. ????
