Get to know [us] Antoni Carlson | Graphic Designer Eastern Washington University When did you start working at Uptic Studios? April 2024 What activities do you do enjoy in your free time? I really enjoy outdoor sports such as sailing, mountain biking, and back country skiing. Tell us something we might not know about you. I started out in college to be an architect, but I switched over to graphic design. Now I've ended up in an adjacent field, and working with architects! I'm graduating from my graphic design program in the spring. Give us a humble brag. I'm super proud of a "welcome packet" that I have created for [us]. I feel that it has captured what Uptic is and what they're aiming to achieve. I'm proud of it because it felt like a really big topic and project to distill down into a series of easy to understand documents. What do you most enjoy about working with [us]? I love working with such great people. I also really like having such a broad range of projects to work on. I’m never bored. Uptic Studios has given me the chance to explore and lead more projects that I wouldn't have been able to do before. What is inspiring to you right now? Working around a different design medium inspires me in different ways. Being a graphic designer I hadn't thought about how universal design is and how it can transfer between two different fields such as graphic design and architecture. What keeps you motivated? Solving different problems on a daily basis. I love solving problems in an innovative creative ways.
