No single organization can fulfill this mission alone. It’s a shared responsibility, and together, we are united in service. Mission 85 began as a simple yet powerful idea: bringing together three veteran-focused organizations Upstate Warrior Solution (SC), Veterans Bridge Home (NC), and The Warrior Alliance (GA). The goal was clear: collaborate on new initiatives, share best practices, exchange ideas, and provide comprehensive support for veterans—not just locally, but across the region. Today, that vision has grown. We’re honored to stand alongside 300 colleagues from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors at the fourth annual Bob Woodruff Foundation Summit, held in partnership with Craig Newmark Philanthropies. On March 13th, the UWS team proudly attended this event alongside the South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs of Veterans' Affairs, the Upstate Veteran Alliance Network, and the Greenville County Veterans Affairs Office. A special shoutout to our friends at Veterans Bridge Home for their incredible work in making this event happen. It’s truly inspiring to be surrounded by dedicated partners, all “rowing the boat” together with a shared purpose and unwavering commitment to those who have served. #upstatewarrior #veterans #veteransupport #GotYour6

???????????????? ???????????????? ????????????, ??????? Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary groups within organizations, made up of individuals with similar interests or life experiences. Many companies, such as Prisma, GE, and Michelin (pictured below), have established Veteran Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to help veterans develop and enhance their professional skills. BRGs are effective because they unite people with common goals. ???????????????????? ???? ?????????? ???????? ??????????????????. ???? ??????'???? ??????, ?????? ???????????? ????! While each BRG is unique, veterans within this community can benefit from networking and collaborating with others outside their immediate group, enabling them to share best practices and increase opportunities. ????????'?? ????????? If you're in the Upstate of South Carolina and belong to an active Veteran Business Resource Group, please reach out. We’d love to help facilitate connections and build this network! When two forces unite for a common cause! Yesterday, our team had the privilege of visiting our friends at Jankel Tactical Systems, a company that welcomes veterans AND actively encourages them to apply. What truly impressed us was their unwavering commitment to safety and innovative solutions that protect our brave men and women during combat, ensuring they return home. Our goal is simple: to support veterans in their transition, and Jankel is playing a crucial role in saving lives on the battlefield. Explore their work, or contact our employment team for more information. Veterans and first responders are mission-focused, whether at home or abroad. This is an opportunity to continue making an impact and saving lives, just in a different way. #veteranemployment #veterans

It was our honor to host this special check presentation from LEAD Upstate to Fountain Inn Police Department, Simpsonville Police Department, and South Carolina Highway Patrol last week! These funds will directly support K-9 units at each agency and were given in honor of SLED K-9 Coba shot in the line of duty in 2024. We're proud to link arms with partners like LEAD to foster community support for our local law enforcement and the K-9s that help keep them safe in the line of duty! #CommunityImpact #LawEnforcementAppreciation #upstatewarrior #k9unit #supportlawenforcement Brenda Stewart

Debbie Dubose has been in our corner advocating for local warriors since the early days of UWS. As a member of our board, she was instrumental in helping us establish roots in Pickens and Oconee and offer life-saving services to veterans and their families. Debbie's service on our board of directors may have come to a close, but the impact of her support and patriotism with be felt for years to come. Thank you, Debbie! #communityimpact #nonprofit #service #veteransupport Clemson University

Leave it to United Way of Anderson County CEO Emeritus Carol Burdette to focus even her *retirement* on lifting up other organizations serving the community! Through her initiative, 22 UWAC partners (including UWS) received financial support in honor of her 22 years of service. Carol, your leadership and dedication has been an inspiration to many over the years, and the legacy of your service will be felt for generations to come. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement! #ServiceAboveSelf #CommunityImpact
