The Warrior Defined We define a warrior as any person who is currently serving or has served in the United States Armed Forces, regardless of military branch, nature of discharge, or current life situation.

Congratulations to our very own Spartanburg Warrior Advocate, Lauren O'Dell, for receiving the 2024 Order of Merit Award from Warriors Once Again! Located in Spartanburg, Warriors Once Again provides transitional housing for Upstate veterans. Lauren provides case management support with weekly on-site visits to the residents, many of whom have graduated into stable housing and employment. This November marks a special anniversary for UWS! In 2014, UWS was an all-volunteer organization with a zero-dollar budget. That all changed when America's Warrior Partnership chose to invest funds from Wounded Warrior Project to help UWS get off the ground. The funding we received allowed us to hire Charlie Hall as our executive director as well as our first social worker, Jenna Grotler. That initial investment grew into long-lasting partnerships with both AWP and WWP. It was only fitting that 10 years later we should celebrate our collective successes together at the Rupert Huse Veteran Center in Greenville!
