??? Meet Upright Iron Works! In 2019, the RDC proudly funded their expansion project, helping them grow into a state-of-the-art 15,000 SF facility in Griffith, with partner bank JP Morgan Chase Bank. Founded in January 1989 by Elizabeth Mate-Bias, this woman-owned, family-operated business has been a cornerstone of metal fabrication in Northwest Indiana and Northern Illinois for over 30 years. As a proud member of NOMMA, they’ve earned recognition for their craftsmanship, including a bronze award for non-ferrous, non-forged interior railings in 2016. They specialize in steel stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal work for commercial buildings, schools, and public projects. At Upright Iron Works, every customer is treated like family, and they strive to provide high-quality products while creating rewarding, stable jobs for their dedicated employees. ??

Progress is being made on our new offices!! It's so exciting lately. One minute it was an empty area outside Beth's door....now there are stud framed offices. Electrical will be next.

Next step in our expansion....new offices. We are almost ready to start. Don't look now but this area will be offices within the next few weeks. We can't wait. #growingbusiness, #officespace

Stair completed at John Wheeler School. Heavy railing...no way those kids will destroy that railing. Fit between the brick wall perfectly. Love the picture with the shadow of the railing behind it. Way to go.

Looking good! Wire mesh railings install at Ottawa YMCA. One of two YMCA's we are currently working on. Fabulous job! We are almost done. Another fine job.

Working hard on some decorative wire mesh track railing...shipping soon. These railings are getting ready for paint. Just love the curved pieces.
