Laying the groundwork for smart urban growth and an enhanced experience for all in Upper Westside Atlanta.
关于我们
We are a Community Improvement District (CID), which is a special governmental entity formed by local commercial property owners. There are around 25 CIDs in Metro Atlanta, including Buckhead, Midtown, and Downtown. Property owners in the CID fund the CID and are able to spend the money on infrastructure improvements, beautification and public safety. A CID is the best tool available to property owners trying to keep their corner of Atlanta competitive in the region. CIDs are collaborative. We leverage our funds through partnerships with other entities such as the City of Atlanta, Renew Atlanta, the Department of Public Works, and the Georgia Department of Transportation to attract additional infrastructure investment to the District. Partnerships are key to a great neighborhood, some of our partners include: Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, Atlanta Regional Commission, Renew Atlanta, GA Department of Transportation, PATH Foundation, MARTA, and Georgia Tech.

Big news: The Hill at Waterworks will be getting a sidewalk! We've officially launched the design for a sidewalk connection between Howell Mill Rd and Northside Drive along 17th Street. The new sidewalk on the north side of the street will allow safe access to The Hill and the Waterworks Greenspaces. We anticipate to be under construction this time next year!

?????Collier Road: Time for a Change! Did you know 108 cars hit 40+ mph on Collier Road every day? That’s 2% of traffic speeding through our neighborhood. With an average speed of 34 mph and minimal pedestrian activity—not by choice, but due to **lack of infrastructure**—it’s clear Collier Road isn’t as safe or walkable as it could be. Research shows: "If you build it, they will come!" Let’s reimagine a safer, more connected Collier Road. What changes would you like to see? Drop your thoughts below! ?? #DriveSafe #WalkableCities #SaferStreets

Park Pride has awarded Huff Linear Green a $50,000 grant! We’re thrilled to be able to build a bocce court, playmounds, and repurpose local I-beams into art. We're so thankful for Park Pride's enduring partnership which has allowed Friends of Waterworks and our CID to build the walking trail at Huff Hill and the Waterworks Playscape. We hope to have this project underway later this year so keep an eye out for more updates! #parkpride #powerofparks
