As 2024 wraps up, we at ULS reflect on a year of meaningful progress made possible by your partnership. In a time of national uncertainty, Washington State remains a beacon of thoughtful resistance and progressive governance. From bold climate action to historic electoral wins, we’ve shown that real progress is possible—even in challenging times. Expanding into Oregon this year, we’ve proudly brought proven strategies to new communities, securing Democratic victories across the Pacific Northwest. Some 2024 Washington Campaign Highlights: No 2177 Campaign: Helped prevent devastating cuts to the Washington Climate Commitment Act. Nick Brown: Elected as Washington’s first Black Attorney General. Denny Heck: Re-elected as Lieutenant Governor. Patty Kuderer: Elected State Insurance Commissioner. Worked on independent expenditures like Our Votes Count which targeted mail into key Democratic wins in WA’s 10th, 17th, 18th, 26th, and 3rd Districts and supported several other independent expenditure efforts. In our first year working in Oregon we helped re-elect Hoa Nguyen (48th District) and Zach Hudson (49th District) with record margins. On the communications front, we deepened our partnership with the Nez Perce Tribe and the Salmon Orca Project, advocating for Snake River dam removal. Our work expanded to lead communications for the Columbia Snake River Campaign, amplifying Indigenous leadership and driving progress on salmon recovery through strategic messaging, press, social media, and coalition building. We’re profoundly thankful for your trust and collaboration. Your support has made these victories possible, and we look forward to continuing this work together in 2025.
