?? Listen here: https://ow.ly/ZYau50UWVeN Major EPR go-lives bring inevitable disruption—but what if that disruption could be reduced? In episode 1 of uPerform’s NHS podcast mini-series, Former NHS CIO, David Kwo, shares how better change communication and user support could have made a real impact. ??? At Cambridge University, targeted change communication could have ensured that users received real-time, role-specific guidance, minimizing confusion and delays. ?? At UCLH, where the helpdesk was overwhelmed with 2,000+ calls per day, many clinicians needed real-time support for basic, yet crucial workflows. uPerform’s change communications and just-in-time learning provides on-demand, workflow-specific guidance, reducing help desk dependency and speeding up stabilization. The bottom line? Faster user adoption, fewer disruptions, and a smoother EPR transition—ultimately improving operational efficiency and patient care. ??? Congratulations to Kimberly Harris and the entire Clinical Informatics training team on this exciting milestone! ?? We are honored to play a key role in the Ambulatory Therapy Plans implementation, helping to streamline training, improve engagement, and enhance readiness. Your project-based Learning Pathway, integrated feedback mechanisms, and innovative training approach are a testament to the power of modern learning tools in driving successful digital adoption. #DigitalAdoption #TrainingExcellence #Innovation #uPerform #HealthcareIT #Teamwork
Today marks the final stages of our extensive preparations for our Ambulatory Therapy Plans implementation. This project holds a special place in my heart, reflecting on my role as the Principal Trainer for the same project five years ago. Back then, we faced challenges in training, readiness, and engagement due to various competing priorities and the lack of adequate tools and platforms. This resulted in a rather scaled-back go-live and a years-long hiatus. Fast forward to the present, with an exceptional project team by our side, we are fully prepared for the upcoming milestone. Our Clinical Informatics training team has leveraged uPerform to craft a project-based Learning Pathway tailored for impacted roles, complete with a countdown clock. This pathway encompasses a comprehensive set of resources such as communications, demos, courses, job aids, and checklists for success. It serves as a foundational guide for all future phases, allowing for continuous updates and enhancements along the way. Additionally, the implementation of an OPA directs clinicians attempting to add an old referral order to pertinent content which we will monitor. We’ve implemented feedback mechanisms and provided training to Super Users and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on notifications and favoriting features, enabling them to stay informed of real-time changes. Our integration of uPerofrm combined with an Amplifire eLearning Gap Finder for affected roles has been instrumental. By aligning data with training content, we have identified and addressed knowledge gaps, empowering Super Users and leaders to proactively address challenges and make necessary adjustments before the go-live event. I am immensely proud of our team's dedication and the unwavering support we have received from our leadership, IT department, PMO, and operational colleagues as we pilot this innovative approach. This post is just a glimpse of the strides our Clinical Informatics trainers are taking with these new tools to engage, educate, and assist end-users. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey ahead. #TeamWork #TrainingExcellence #InnovativeApproach
