Big thank you to Navistar Inc for working with us to plant trees last Friday. This hard working group of volunteers knocked out this planting under difficult highway conditions, and they did it with smiles on their faces! Can't wait to have them back.

Hear the word “infrastructure” and most people think of transportation systems, telecommunications networks, sewage pipelines, and electrical grids. Sure, they make up the foundation of our towns and cities. But let’s not forget those hardworking trees that also provide an unbeatable service. From absorbing stormwater, to cleaning the air, to lowering temperatures, to reducing energy consumption, to making us healthier, happier, and more connected, trees aren’t just a nice-to-have. They don’t just help us live by providing oxygen, they help us thrive by lifting our mood and inviting us to play outdoors. Cities without trees are cities without joy. Without beauty. Without optimism. Because #ATreeCanBe a roadmap, showing us what it means to be a community.
