关于我们
the heart of our mission is the extraordinary bond we share as a father and son. We founded the Up To It Podcast and Up To It Presentations to support parents, single parents, guardians, grandparents, and trusted adults in navigating tough conversations and strengthening connections with their youth. Through our podcast, we delve into essential topics like mental health, substance use, sex, and pop culture, providing practical insights, expert advice, and personal stories to foster understanding and empathy. Understanding the challenges busy parents face in attending presentations after a long day, we now offer corporate presentations to bring our insights directly to the workplace. These sessions not only enrich personal lives but also enhance professional skills, leading to more productive and balanced employees. In addition to our podcast, our presentations, workshops, and seminars are designed to help families improve communication, build stronger relationships, and resolve conflicts effectively. Join us on this transformative journey as we create a supportive space for families and professionals to learn, grow, and forge deeper connections, redefining meaningful, impactful relationships both at home and at work.

The love was incredible at the Child Abuse Prevention Conference! We brought the energy! My dad and I had a plan: we were the last workshop of the day, and if you’ve ever been to conferences, you know that last slot can be a tough one. So, we decided we MUST BRING THE GIVENS ENERGY—and that’s exactly what we did! The feedback was fantastic! One of the best parts of my job is getting to do it with my best friend! Thank you Child Abuse Prevention Conference for having us!! Interested in hearing more about our presentations? Private message me! Up To It

Wow, let me tell you all about my Friday! My brother (one of my closest friends since middle school) and his mom and dad asked me two years ago, when they became the leaders of this youth group they inherited with only 10-12 youth, to come and speak to them. It was fun, intimate, and we had great conversations, but it was still a small youth group. They worked tirelessly to recruit, provide value, and be trusted adults for their youth. NOW, 2 YEARS LATER! This is the youth group NOW—50 youth! They invited me out to Mount Lemmon to share my presentation on Mental Health. I didn’t know what to expect, so I packed my MacBook, charger, and dongle, and put on my whitest pair of Reeboks. To my surprise, there were tents and a fireplace with chairs in a circle. Oh, we were outside OUTSIDE! One thing about me is I don’t do outside ?? I like A/C and WiFi too much. But this was one of the greatest experiences I’ve had as a speaker. To just have raw, real conversations with little to no distractions was amazing. The youth were engaged and super locked in to the content that was shared. This is what the leaders had to say after I left: “Our youth kept talking about you. They want to see more of you.????” Have you ever had to present in an environment that was a little uncomfortable for you or where you didn’t feel prepared? What was that experience like, and how did you muster up the courage to still perform?

We recently got sent an article about the construction industry in our founder's home state of Arizona that really resonated with us. One quote in particular stood out: “When you’re more likely to be killed by your own hands than to get killed in a jobsite accident, that’s a crisis in our industry,” said Brian Turmail, vice president of public affairs and workforce for the Associated General Contractors of America. “We know pretty much what needs to happen to protect people physically. We’re figuring out how to protect people mentally.” At Up To It, we deeply understand the importance of safety and the value of life. The hardworking individuals in the construction industry are essential to our daily lives, and we want to be a resource for them. We believe that everyone is worthy, capable, and enough. Let’s work together to ensure not just physical safety, but mental well-being too. #Safety #MentalHealth #ConstructionIndustry #Support https://lnkd.in/gpgbzg9m
