Conflict is a leading driver of hunger, disrupting food production, supply chains, and local economies. As global challenges grow, these are ways WFP uses food assistance to address the root causes of conflict and foster peace. ?? #COP29 has concluded, and the discussions in Baku, Azerbaijan, have paved the way for significant advancements in climate finance! This year’s conference, dubbed the ‘finance COP,’ focused on empowering developing countries most vulnerable to climate impacts. The new climate finance goal of at least US $300 billion by 2035 is a positive step towards addressing the needs of food-insecure populations and those affected by conflict.
