Last night's City Council Meeting marked the end of many, many years of dedicated public service by Councilwoman Fran McKay. Through her time with the Arts & Culture Committee, the Audit Committee, the FCTA, the Planning Commission and the City Council; Fran has undoubtedly left her mark on this community! Last night was also the beginning of new Ward 5 Councilman Mendoza's term. Welcome to the City Council, Joe Mendoza! Although we are saddened to see Fran go, the City is truly appreciative of all she has done for Fernley. The City is also excited for the future and what Councilman Mendoza brings to the City Council. He has big shoes to fill, but is up to the task. #ThankYouForYourService #councilwoman
