关于我们
Unqbe helps build future leaders, workplaces and organizations by applying cutting edge ideas to Organization Development. We conduct primary and secondary research that enables leaders to make good choices about their future organization. A small sample of recent projects include: 1. Understanding Shifts in Employee Expectations and Talent Trends for the Banking and Financial Services in India 2. Mapping and Re-building Social Capital for New Joiners 3. Building Capability-Culture Frameworks To Enable a Digital Mindset 4. New Leadership Capabilities for 2021/ 2022 (Several) 5. Hybrid Enablement at a Large Firm ***** The Story Behind Unqbe (pronounced Uncube) =================================== The story of Unqbe is about the coming together of the worlds of technology & business with organizations & leadership. As organizations prepare themselves for exponential change--the driver is certainly technology. But what will decide their success is the readiness of the organization and its leadership. And that is where we are--at the edge of technology and organizations. Now for some fun facts about our logo. 1. Unqbe (pronounced uncube) is about exactly that--breaking out of the box we create for ourselves--and thinking of the impossible. 2. One of us is a big fan of Escher. Our logo is an "Escher"esque cube that looks like an open or closed cube--depending on your perspective. 3. Fun fact 1: the Unqbe logo is written in a font called biome (an ecology that is well suited to its environment) 4. Fun fact 2: That beautiful green--is a shade called "Anne of Green Gables"!

The Conversation Around Hybrid is Not Over--Yet! **************************************************** The data I am quoting is from the US (Source: Very kindly shared in a deck by Prof. Nick Bloom at Stanford). While in India, there has been such a strong 'Return to the office' move over the past few years, I expect to see similar trends emerge over time. Gen Z values a Hybrid model the most. They want the social connection and mentoring that office gives them. They just also want the flexibility of working remotely as well. All research shows they are least likely to want either extreme (Completely WFH or WFO). What are you seeing at your offices? Is there a mandate to RTO all days or are you seeing a combination? #hybridworkplace #wfh

This week, my special guest is an AI leader from Healthify. Did you know that Healthify has been so successful that Open AI has written about them here: https://lnkd.in/gKwitKtn Anjan Umamaheswaran B, Chief Business Officer and I will be in conversation on Friday. We will discuss the kind of thinking, culture, and mindset that has been behind Healthify's use of AI to grow its business, using AI coaches an affordable option for millions. This series is the 6th in the "AI and Culture" theme, where we explore how culture enables AI implementation in leading organizations. This is part of the research that Jaspreet Bindra and I have been doing on AI and Culture. And of course, this is connected with the work that Papiya Banerjee and I do to enable leaders to build future-readiness in their organizations through Unqbe. Cultr.ai #ai #culture #aiculture #future

It is becoming quite common to think of career transitions in 40s. We are now observing career transition trends starting as early as 20s.
Thinking of #careertransition in your 20s and 30s ? It's Ok ! Be happy that you are deciding to not continue with a career that is not fulfilling. Last week I had three career transition conversations , Two of them in late 20s and one in early 30s. " I always loved technology, I did management and took a management job, because that is the ladder to success. I feel I am wasting my time. I get very little time to do what I love, my energy is sapped in co-ordination and operations." " I enjoy working with people and so I chose HR as a field. In last 8 years of my work I have been mainly working with processes , training, follow ups and events. I want to work with a team towards big business results. I am not sure how I can do that being in HR." " I find it nauseating to experience just rush for revenue and growth in short term. The mindless war for getting more business, which is not good for consumers or community. I want to work where there is a good cause and purpose for the business." For most of us choice of career is influenced by social norms, status, family expectations or influence of friends. In the beginning of career ,we are also young to take risks on career and having to choose without exploring options. Earning money becomes central factor to decide on the career stream. With the exposure, our awareness of possibilities increases and we are also appreciative of our own passion and strengths. We are in better position to design our careers for happiness and overall well being. If career transition is in your mind and you want to have conversation, DM me on Linkedin. Unqbe Dr. Shalini Lal

Welcome to the new tribe of Retire-preneurs ! When I entered workforce in 1998, it was quite common for freshers to dream about retirement. Most of us wanted to work to earn and save enough money to retire early. The parameter of enough kept on moving and that's different story to be told.. Early retirement was a goal, some of us took seriously and felt we have worked enough to afford a retirement in our 40s and 50s. The decision to quit corporate jobs was to take break and focus on other priorities and interests in life ( some called in enjoying life). In our conversations with professionals opting for early retirement the common thread is the realisation that #Work is integral part of life giving us the meaning and purpose it is not only about earning. The big question is How can we design work in a manner that we have enough time and resources for the other priorities in life ? The choices made display combination of creativity, curiosity and resilience. The most common choice is to be Expert-preneur, providing expert advise and consulting in the area of our expertise. Agri-preneurs are bringing the market and Supply- chain management expertise to their passion of agriculture going back to roots. Social-preneurs are applying their knowledge and skills to give back to society contributing to community development. Designing second/ third career is exciting opportunity to design life. What's your plan for retirement?
