I had the most effective link building strategy in 2008-2012. The plan was simple - to buy two times more backlinks than my competitors had. Google ranked my content high, traffic was growing and sales were booming. I had the feeling of buying 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas. Google destroyed everything in April 2012 with the first algorithm - Penguin. I hated these North birds for a while, but my love returned when I adapted to a new reality - White Hat SEO. Brian Dean, Rand Fishkin, Neil Patel, and many other great experts shared valuable skills about link building that works. Skyscraper technique, broken link building, outreach list of resources became the new reality. The main problem with all these strategies is that many others jumped to this field, destroying results: low open rate, response, and earning links. Today, the best experts on this field don’t use these strategies because writing 100 well-personalized emails can become useless - no links. If you write 1,000 emails with learning recipients, personalize the message, and do everything for deserving links, you might get a few backlinks, but the price is too expensive. There is almost no impact on Google ranking. That is why Neil Patel and Ryan Stuard started to do something that made a strong impact.
