Meet Ben H. Nguyen, Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher at Clark County School District and a proud #UNLVCOEAlumni! ?? We had the pleasure of speaking with Ben about his time at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Before arriving at UNLV, Ben completed his undergrad at Dartmouth College, where he minored in education. He felt that he could pursue a career in education, which led him to participate in the Teach For America program. After graduating, Ben was able to get his master’s in Curriculum & Instruction at UNLV, as Teach For America Nevada has a partnership with the university. ???? As a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher at CCSD, Ben teaches advanced manufacturing and robotics/computer science to 200 students yearly while advising various clubs, such as robotics. When asked how UNLV prepared him for his current position, Ben said, "UNLV helped me connect with the city as I want to help contribute to the success of the state's manufacturing/automation industry." ?? #AlumniSpotlight #RebelsMakeItHappen #UNLVCOE

Did you know our alums make a difference every single day? Meet Sheri B., a proud #UNLVCOEAlumni! ?? We had the pleasure of speaking with Sheri about her time as a Rebel at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Sheri worked as a Sr. International Student Advisor in the Office of International Student and Scholar Services while getting her Master's in Higher Education Leadership. She later moved her way up to being a Business Immigration Supervisor at Fragomen. Where she currently oversees the permanent residents and green card holders for clients and employees. She knew that immigration was her calling but wasn’t sure if she wanted to take the higher education approach or the corporate role. ???? When asked why our alumni should stay involved, Sheri replied, "It's a great way to keep up with each other." She enjoys reading about their accomplishments and seeing how other people are doing. It also reminds her of her time at UNLV, which inspires her to want to pass that on to future generations so that they, too, can have a positive experience. ???? #AlumniSpotlight #RebelsMakeItHappen #UNLVCOE
